“But he who dares not grasp the thorn, should never crave the rose” ... Anne Bronte

"The Bronte" is registered #32 on our authenticity database.

The name of the garment, it's registration number and Clare's signature are recorded on the back of the Declare panel that has been sewn inside the jacket.

The Song: Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush…sung about the Bronte characters Cathy and Heathcliff, whose intense feelings result in a dangerous obsession.

The Name: This design is a testament to the Bronte sisters, who famously wrote about female characters who were strong independent women, controversial for their time!

The Design: From the nineteenth-century style ruffled collar to the cameo broach, everything about this soft, fully lined, light blue denim jacket is spectacular.

Small spherical brass buttons adorn the front of the design, with additional buttons to the cuffs. Sleeves have been created to look like gloves, with ruffles that sit gently over the hands and attached at the elbow with a delicate bow.

The pleated frill that circumnavigates the entire hemline of the garment flows lightly in the breeze, while the embellishment to the back of the shoulders boasts diamantes that glint in the light from their ruffled black “tier”.
